Our "babies" have gone off to University and student life full of excitement at the prospect of wall to wall freedom and fun!<br /><br />As parents we have to "let go" and hope they will fit at least SOME studies into their busy student schedule of late night partying and long lie-ins!<br />We have to accept the last thing on their minds for a few weeks is going to be Easy Recipes and Cooking.<br />However, once they have settled into the new routine they will probably want to start making at least some attempt at using cooking recipes and the kitchen.<br /><br />When my youngest "flew the nest" last year I tried to find an easy recipe/cook book to pack which explained cooking recipes from scratch for someone who hardly knew the difference in a kettle and a saucepan! Well ! That's a bit exaggerated but you know what I mean!<br /><br />I couldn't really find what I wanted so I set about composing a selection of easy recipes and cooking recipes myself, keeping in mind the type of food they would be most likely to cook.<br />Get a copy of it here: <a href="http://www.aunttrudyskitchen.com">http://www.aunttrudyskitchen.com</a><br /><br />I had a good idea, from the questions she asked, what kind of basic cooking information would be useful to students.<br /><br />Hey Presto! Bingo! I got her using the easy recipes and cooking and she can now use recipes and rustle up a decent meal with little effort!<br />Apparently her friends have joined in the cooking revolution and are pinching the easy recipes selection!<br />They have now got a nice little cooking "rota" going in their student house.<br /><br />This selection of Quick and Easy recipes with students in mind is the best and most productive(and cheapest) present I've ever given any of mine. RESULT? She can cook and follow recipes competently, eats more healthy food, eats less fast food and her mother is happy!! I don't even mind the bags of dirty laundry !<br /><br />WONDER IF I WROTE A GUIDE ON WASHING AND IRONING WOULD IT WORK?<br /><br />I'll keep you up to date from time to time!<br /><br />See you soon<br />Regards: Aunt Trudy<br /><br />PS I am amazed at the number of Moms interested in the Easy Recipes for themselves never mind their student children!
